About the awards

The 2009 Green Awards program seeks to recognize businesses, organizations or individuals who have voluntarily undertaken effective efforts, projects or operational improvements to reduce pollution, improve resource conservation and sustainability or improve air and water quality.   
 
Registration for the awards luncheon is $20 per person. The luncheon will take place on Nov. 10 from noon to 2 p.m. at Grace Church, 1350 Osos St. 
 
Up to six businesses, organizations and individuals throughout the County, including nonmembers of the Chamber, will be honored based on the following four levels of criteria.

The deadline to receive nominations was Oct. 15, 2009. 

 
 

Criteria Breakdown (percent of total score)

  • Environmental Impact/Sustainability (50%)
  • Transferability (20%)
  • Business Benefits (15%)
  • Innovation and overall environmental leadership (15%)
